At Uplands Primary School & Nursery, we use our Sports Premium funding to enhance the quality and breadth of physical education, sport and physical activity across the school.
Our aim is to ensure that all pupils have opportunities to participate in high-quality sporting activities, develop their physical skills and discover activities that encourage them to lead active and healthy lifestyles. The funding supports a range of initiatives, including staff development, access to specialist coaching, participation in competitions and festivals, and opportunities for pupils to experience a diverse range of sports.
We also use the funding to increase participation and engagement, ensuring that pupils of all abilities have the opportunity to be active, develop confidence and experience the enjoyment and benefits of sport.
We carefully evaluate the impact of our Sports Premium spending and use the funding strategically to support sustainable improvements to our PE and sporting provision.
