At Uplands Primary School & Nursery, safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.
We are committed to creating a safe, welcoming and supportive environment where every child feels valued, respected and able to learn.
The wellbeing and safety of our pupils is at the heart of everything we do. All staff receive regular safeguarding training and understand their responsibilities in identifying, responding to and reporting concerns. We work closely with parents and carers, the Trust and relevant external agencies to ensure that concerns are addressed promptly and appropriately.
We promote a strong culture of safeguarding across the school and help pupils to develop the knowledge, confidence and skills they need to keep themselves and others safe, both in school and beyond.
Our safeguarding policies, procedures and key safeguarding contacts are available on this website.
If you have a concern about the safety or wellbeing of a child, please contact the school as soon as possible via; safeguarding@uplandsberkshire.org or office@uplandsberkshire.org.
Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is Mrs Lee Parsons
Supported by Mrs Liz Lord (DDSL), Mrs Claire Mockridge (DDSL), Mrs Sophia Ahmed (DDSL), Mrs Catrin Powell (DDSL).
