Our School Council
Our School Council gives pupils a strong voice in the life of our school. It provides an opportunity for pupils to share their ideas, raise important issues and help shape decisions that affect our school community.
Council members are elected by their peers and work together with staff to listen to pupils’ views and turn their ideas into positive action. Through meetings, discussions and school projects, members develop valuable skills such as leadership, teamwork, communication and problem-solving.
We are proud of our School Council and the enthusiasm, responsibility and commitment shown by its members. Their contributions help make our school an inclusive, welcoming and enjoyable place for everyone.
Our Peer Mediators
Our Peer Mediators play an important role in creating a happy, respectful and supportive school community. They are trained pupils who help others to resolve minor disagreements and misunderstandings in a calm, fair and friendly way.
Peer Mediators listen carefully to everyone involved, encourage pupils to understand different points of view and support them in finding positive solutions. They do not take sides or decide who is right or wrong; instead, they help pupils communicate and work towards an agreement.
Being a Peer Mediator helps pupils develop valuable skills including communication, empathy, active listening, confidence and problem-solving. We are proud of the responsible and caring way our Peer Mediators support their fellow pupils and contribute to making our school a safe and inclusive place for everyone.
Our Head Boy and Head Girl
Our Head Boy and Head Girl are proud ambassadors for our school and positive role models for all pupils. They are chosen for their leadership qualities, commitment, kindness and willingness to make a difference within our school community.
Working closely with staff and pupils, they represent the school at special events, welcome visitors and help promote our school values. They also listen to the views and ideas of other pupils, encouraging everyone to have a voice and take an active role in school life.
The roles of Head Boy and Head Girl provide valuable opportunities to develop confidence, responsibility, communication and leadership skills. We are incredibly proud of the way our Head Boy and Head Girl represent our school and inspire others through their enthusiasm, maturity and positive attitude.
Our Class Meeters and Greeters
Our Class Meeters and Greeters help to create a warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere across our school. They have the important responsibility of greeting pupils, staff and visitors with a smile and helping everyone feel valued and included.
These pupils are excellent role models who demonstrate our school values through their kindness, confidence, politeness and positive attitude. They help new pupils and visitors feel comfortable and are always ready to offer a friendly welcome at the start of the school day and during special events.
Being a Class Meeter and Greeter gives pupils the opportunity to develop their confidence, communication and leadership skills while making a positive contribution to our school community. We are proud of the enthusiasm and kindness they show in helping to make our school a happy and welcoming place for everyone.
Our Prefects
Our Prefects are responsible and enthusiastic pupils who play an important role in supporting our school community. They are positive role models who demonstrate our school values through their behaviour, attitude, kindness and commitment.
Prefects help staff and younger pupils, support the smooth running of school events and represent the school with pride. They are approachable and willing to listen to others, helping to create a safe, respectful and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued.
The role of Prefect provides pupils with valuable opportunities to develop leadership, communication, teamwork and organisational skills. We are proud of the contribution our Prefects make and the positive example they set for others throughout the school.
Our Year 6 Buddies
Our Year 6 Buddies play a special role in welcoming and supporting our Reception pupils as they begin their school journey. They are caring, responsible and enthusiastic role models who help our youngest pupils feel happy, safe and confident in their new surroundings.
Buddies spend time with their Reception partners, helping them settle into school life, showing them around, playing with them and offering encouragement when they need it. Through their kindness and support, they help our younger pupils develop friendships and feel that they are an important part of our school community.
The Buddy programme is a wonderful opportunity for our Year 6 pupils to develop their leadership, communication, patience and empathy skills. It also helps to build strong relationships across the school and creates a caring community where older and younger pupils can learn from and support one another.
